FIRE EYE Throwable Fire Extinguishers Devices are designed to make fire fighting as simple as possible compared to the dangerous pressurized and not user-friendly conventional metal cylinder fire extinguishers where yearly maintenance and periodical training are required.
How It Began
Fire safety is not a joke. The Japanese inventor Goichi Tamura wanted to keep his loved ones well-prepared for fire emergencies – which led to him inventing the proprietary Fire Eye formulation that has been saving lives since the early 2000s. Conventional fire extinguishers are too heavy and not user-friendly for children, elder and ladies. Tamura decided to invent a throwable fire extinguisher that can be used by all.
His first invention is ammonia based, which is bad for health due to its corrosive and harmful nature and has a stinging smell that hurts the nose. After some years of painstaking work, he invented the second generation of formulation which is water- based, environmentally-friendly, non-toxic and most importantly – effective against fire.
From Japan To Malaysia
In 2015, Tamura wanted to share his formula with countries across South East Asia in an effort to save more lives. He shared his vision and formula with Malaysia and Fire Eye SDN BHD was born. The easy use products are all proudly manucfactured locally in Malaysia, each containing the precious formulation from Japan.
Tamura’s mission of saving lives has spread like wildfire, and Fire Eye is now found across Asia in Mauritius, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Philippines and so on.

Our Japanese formulation is water-based and therefore it is non-toxic, non-corrosive and eco-friendly! This is to ensure your family’s safety and well-bring in the event of accidental leakage. The main function of our fire protection device is to create an escape route for victims, in the event of a huge fire. If it is a small fire, however, our devices can help stop and prevent the fire from spreading or becoming larger. Rapid fire suppression within seconds can save lives.
Fire Incidents Are Unpredictable!
According to survey, most residential homes in the world are not equipped with any fire protection devices. This is due to the fact that the most commonly used conventional fire extinguishers weigh around 6kg – 9kg. ABC powder fire extinguishers are heavy, bulky and not easy to operate, plus yearly inspections are required and is bad for our environment too.
A survey based on Malaysians aged between 18-60 shows us that 90% of them do not know how to operate the conventional fire extinguisher. This is a common issue as most of these extinguishers require special instructions, strength and some training to use. We believe that fire safety should be accessible to everyone – from children to the elderly and even the disabled.

Are Fire Eye products hazardous to humans?
No. All Fire Eye products are classified as non-hazardous.
What type of fires can Fire Eye products put out?
- Fire Eye Throwable Device is capable of suppressing Class A (Ordinary Combustibles) and Class B (Flammable Liquids) fires. Most homes and offices fire are Class A and B type.
- Fire Eye Kitchen Device is capable of suppressing kitchen fires such as cooking oil or grease fire, which are classified as (Class F) in the EU & (Class K) in the USA.
What is the life span of Fire Eye Throwable fire extinguishers devices?
Fire Eye Fire Extinguisher products last for 3 years. Expiry dates are printed on the display box.
How to dispose of expired Fire Eye products?
- For Fire Eye Throwable Device: Unscrew the cap and puncture the seal. Drain the contents of the bottle into your regular drainage system with running water. The contents are harmless and dispose of the empty bottle with your regular recycle trash. Wash your hands with water upon contact with the extinguishing agent.
- For Fire Eye Kitchen Device: Unscrew the spray head and drain the contents into your regular drainage system with ample running water. The contents are harmless and dispose of the empty container with your regular recycle trash. Wash your hands thoroughly with water and soap upon contact with the extinguishing agent.
Can Fire Eye extinguishing agent be used in a building’s water sprinkler system?
Yes. Due to Non-Corrosive characteristic but recommended to be used according to the specific building’s regulations.

All Fire Eye fire protection products are produced in our manufacturing plant situated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
